At Plano Plastic Surgery, excellence is our standard. With them, you’re not just opting for transformative results but also genuine care and understanding. Our approach is personal—tailored to every patient’s concerns and desires.

How It’s Done
To ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure, either general anesthesia or local anesthesia combined with sedation is administered. The surgeon makes an incision in the predetermined area, typically across the top of the buttocks or within the crease. The length, shape, and precise location of the incision depends on the specific lift type and the extent of the lift required.
Sagging skin is meticulously excised, and underlying tissues are repositioned to offer a more contoured, youthful silhouette. In some instances, liposuction may also be performed to remove isolated fat deposits and enhance the shape further.
If the Brazilian Butt Lift technique is chosen, the surgeon will harvest fat from donor areas, such as the abdomen, thighs, or flanks. This fat is then processed, purified, and skillfully injected into specific regions of the buttocks to augment volume and shape.
Once the desired reshaping is achieved, the incisions are sutured closed. Depending on the surgical strategy, absorbable or removable sutures, skin adhesives, tapes, or clips may be employed. The treated area is often bandaged or wrapped in compression garments. These garments assist in controlling swelling and support the newly sculpted contours as they heal.
Butt Lift vs. Butt Augmentation: What’s the Difference?
A butt lift and butt augmentation are both popular cosmetic procedures designed to enhance the appearance of the buttocks, but they serve different purposes. A butt lift primarily tackles sagging by removing excess skin and tightening the area, giving the buttocks a lifted and firmer look. It’s ideal for those who want to combat the effects of aging, gravity, or significant weight changes.
On the other hand, butt augmentation is all about size and shape. It seeks to increase the volume of the buttocks, either by using the patient’s own fat transferred from other areas (like the Brazilian Butt Lift) or through the insertion of implants. If you’re looking to achieve a fuller, rounder backside rather than just lifting the existing shape, this is the go-to procedure.

Who is a Good Candidate?
Candidates for a buttock lift are individuals who:
- Are in stable health and at a consistent weight.
- Have sagging or droopy buttocks due to aging, genetics, or significant weight changes.
- Seek a more youthful, toned, and lifted appearance of their rear end.
- Understand the procedure and hold realistic expectations about the results.
