Upper Lip Lift

Upper Lip Lift: A surgical procedure that shortens the distance between the nose and the upper lip. This can make the lips appear fuller and expose more of the pink part of the lip (vermilion). It is typically done with a small incision hidden beneath the nose.

Pros: Creates fuller-looking lips, reduces the appearance of a long philtrum (vertical groove above the lip), can improve definition of the Cupid’s bow.

Cons: Scarring (usually minimal and well-hidden), potential numbness of the upper lip, temporary swelling and bruising.

Alternatives: Lip fillers, injectable wrinkle relaxers (Botox) for lip flip effect.

Recovery Time: 7-10 days, with most noticeable swelling subsiding within a few days.

Disclaimer: Individual results may vary. Consulting a board-certified plastic surgeon is crucial to discuss candidacy and realistic expectations.
